Here we are.... 18 hours of labor, the last 6 hours with no appreciable change. She has been dialated to 6mm since noon and the baby head has not yet fully engaged. We have a couple of choices: Choose to wait naturally, use pitocin, rupture the sack, or a C-section.
Becca and I choose a C-Section. It is the best choice, given that we have been in full labor for over 12 hours with strong consistent contractions. It is the lowest risk, and chances are the other routes would have ended up in a C-section eventually.
It's 6:20 p.m. right now.... In an hour or so we should have a new member of the family - likely unamed for the next 24 to 48 hours. Wish us luck ;-)
